AKIKO THOMSON

Akiko Thomson

Gillian Akiko Thomson (born October 8, 1974) was a Filipino swimmer. She was born in the United States, where she grew up, to a white American father and part-Japanese/part-Filipino mother.
Affiliated with the University of California in Berkeley, Thomson joined swimming in the Southeast Asian Games in 1991 and is a three-time Olynmpian (1988, 1992 and 1996). Five years after she joined international gaming events, she became one of the contract T.V. reporters of the investigative journalism production Probe Productions.
